Last night, I had the pleasure of participating in a benefit for school programs in Joplin. “5for1″ was a competition and subsequent event to raise money and awareness for the people of Joplin, Missouri and their on-going rebuilding efforts after the EF-5 tornado that tore apart their community on May 22nd, 2011. 5 different industries of creative thinkers came together for this 1 great cause. The exhibit was pulled together by the great folks over at Perkins + Will & izzy+ – a great success. And props to my pal, Lynsey Schwab for her 1st place design!

JOPLIN BENEFIT

5for1 was a competition and subsequent event to raise money and awareness for the people of Joplin, Missouri and their on-going rebuilding efforts after an EF-5 tornado tore apart their community on May 22nd, 2011. 5 ‘creative’ industries joined together for 1 cause: Artists from around the country submitted designs as part of a gallery benefit in which proceeds went towards the rebuilding of schools in the damage-stricken town. A great cause and some great work – congrats to friend and fellow designer, Lynsey Schwab, on her 1st place design! 5for1
